Every Thursday, the regular alankarana covering the main deity of Sri Srinivasa is removed in a process known as sallimpu. After, a velvet gown is draped, and Sri Srinivasa is exclusively adorned with fragrant flower garlands, from his crown to his feet. Prior to being offered to the Lord, these sacred garlands are carried in circumbulation around the main shrine by pilgrims who sponsored the seva. This breathtaking ritual is known as Poolangi seva and bestows devotees with serenity, tranquility, spiritual stability, and physical wellbeing.
